The Last Meeting With Percy Kawas
“I visited him at home when I came down for the reunion. He had hemoglobin count issues and kidney issues. He would be going in to Jaslok 3 times a week for dialysis. We exchanged notes and I was planning on visiting him last few days in March. I, for one, will miss him a lot. Last few pictures with him. He had lost a lot of weight. Yet was smiling!!! That is why he could not come to our reunion, though he very much wanted to. He missed the reunion and he wished his physical state would have allowed him to attend. I fed him the pictures as well as the picture with everyone's name. He was so noble that he did not want anyone to know and promised me not to tell any one.” - Percy Kawas (California)
“Oh good Lord! That is truly shocking news. I was told that Farrokh had a few health issues. It’s so sad!!! To no longer hear and read about his gentle wisdom and humour. We have truly lost a “noble” person. May he “Rest in Peace”. Percy, you are a true friend! I’m so glad that you took the effort to meet Farrokh and share with him the photos of our 50th anniversary school reunion.” - Shyam George (Trivandrum)

“So nice of you to find time to meet him Percy! I spoke to him a few days prior to the Golden Reunion because I was trying to arrange a Khaki Tours trip. When I said I would see him at the Reunion in a few days, he told me that he would not be able to come because of health issues related to his kidney but did not reveal any more information nor reveal how seriously ill he was, and asked me to promise that I would not tell anyone! He was an amazing guy and we will miss him a lot! May his soul rest in peace!!” - Rajeev Karpe (Singapore)

“Truly truly saddening. RIP dear Farrokh! He was full of wisdom and humor. Apart from his profession he was deeply connected with Khakhi and Mumbai and the Parsi magazine. I had coffee with him a few months ago and he had lost a lot of weight. Yet I did not ask him as I honestly thought it was self driven with all the stay fit fads and healthy diets etc. Tragic.” - Akshay Dasani (Mumbai)
